1. Scope of Services

• Authorised Work Only: All installations, maintenance, repairs, and appliance servicing are performed exclusively by South African Qualification and Certification Committee (SAQCC) registered gas practitioners.

• Regulatory Compliance: Every physical setup strictly adheres to national safety framework guidelines, specifically SANS 10087-01 2026 EDITION 7.1

• Non-Compliant Infrastructure: The business reserves the right to refuse to connect to, or service, any existing line configurations deemed faulty, illegal, or hazardous until corrected,  line configurations deemed faulty, outdated or illegal.

2. Callout Fees and Site Assessments

• Local PMB : R350

• PMB Surrounds : R600

• Additional Visits: Standard fees apply to subsequent site visits.

• Scope Changes: Supplemental charges apply if further work is requested.

3. Quotations, Pricing, and Material Ownership

• Validity Period: Formal written quotations remain valid for 5 calendar days from the date of issue.

• Component Standards: Only approved engineering-grade materials (e.g. Pex piping and pex fittings along with copper fittings) will be utilised

• Retention of Title: All gas infrastructure, copper lines, regulators, and fittings supplied remain the legal property of AVI Gas Solutions until the project invoice is settled in full.

4. Payment Terms

• Deposit Requirements: Residential and Commercial projects require a 50% upfront deposit before material procurement, with the final 50% balance payable strictly upon physical completion. 

• Withholding Documentation: Certified paperwork will not be released under any circumstances if a client has an outstanding financial balance.

5. Certificates of Conformity (CoC)

• Issuance Criteria: An official Gas Certificate of Conformity (CoC) is issued only after a system passes strict pressure-testing and structural inspection.

• Scope of Certification: The CoC covers only the exact layout configuration worked on or explicitly inspected by our team.  Any subsequent DIY modifications automatically invalidate the issued certificate and any associated appliance warranties.

6. Client Responsibilities and Site Access

• Clear Workspace: The client must provide a safe, clear, and accessible working space for technicians to lay lines and position gas cylinders, Granite cut/trimmed for hob installation, plumbing outlet points for gas geyser installation etc

• Appliance Readiness: Freestanding stoves (such as SMEG models) or hobs must be on-site and unboxed at the scheduled time of installation.

• Municipal Approvals: It is the client’s responsibility to check local municipal bylaws regarding maximum gas cylinder storage capacities on their specific property boundary line.
